Substantiating Fears of Grade Inflation, Dean Says Median Grade at Harvard College Is A-, Most Common Grade Is A

»  An article that peeks slightly behind the curtain of grading at a revered Ivy league institution.  It’s good to find open recognition of a problem of something I’ve long had suspicions about around educational standards and attainment.

If we do not find ways to challenge our acceptance of such things, education will be devalued and we will all lose out.  Not only individuals and institutions, but also nations competitiveness too.

Am I exaggerating?  Possibly, but acceptance of lower standards and failure to challenge ourselves nearly always results in complacency.  Not a good thing in such a competitive world.
